At the 106th plenary session of the Central European Brewing Analysis Commission (MEBAK) on April 10, 2026, Mr. Florian Heukäufer was unanimously elected as a full member.
Florian Heukäufer, a graduate of the Brewing and Beverage Technology program at the Technical University of Berlin, completed his master’s degree in 2020. He then joined the VLB Berlin Packaging Testing Center as a research assistant, where he worked in quality management, research, and project work. Since July 2025, Mr. Heukäufer has served as laboratory director of the VLB Packaging Testing Center. With his extensive experience in packaging testing and his comprehensive knowledge of filling and packaging processes in the brewing and beverage industry, the Berlin native brings the ideal qualifications for active participation in MEBAK’s committees.
The VLB Berlin Packaging Testing Center operates as a specialized laboratory for the brewing and beverage industry as well as the food industry. Its range of services includes testing of glass and PET bottles, plastic crates, crown caps, labels, screw caps, beverage cans, and outer packaging, as well as the production of fill volume templates.
