Dr. Hans-Georg Eils

Dr. Hans-Georg Eils,

the new president of the German Association of Brewers (DBB), Berlin!

After successfully completing his degree in Brewing Technology at the TU Berlin/VLB in 1983 along with numerous activities at the university as well as in the private sector, Hans-Georg Eils pursued a doctoral degree at the TU Munich-Weihenstephan at the Chair for Brewing I under Prof. Narziss.

In 2002, he became the Technical Director of the Gilde Group in Hannover. By 2004, he had already become Director of Brewery Operations at InBev for their holdings in Germany which consist of Diebels Brewery in Issum, Beck & Co. in Bremen, Dinkelacker-Schwabenbräu in Stuttgart, Spaten-Franziskaner-Löwenbräu in Munich, Gilde in Hannover, Wolters in Braunschweig and Hasseröder in Wernigerode. He was subsequently appointed the Director of Zone Brewery Support Performance for Western Europe for the breweries owned by InBev SA in Great Britain, Benelux and Germany in 2007.

Since 2007, he has served as the Director of Engineering and Logistics at the Karlsberg Brewery GmbH in Homburg.

He has also served in an honorary capacity as vice president of the European Brewery Convention (EBC) in Brussels, as chairman of the Braugerstengemeinschaft e.V., Munich, whose goal it is to further malting barley cultivation in Germany, and deputy chairman of the Technical Commission of the German Association of Brewers (DBB), Berlin, as well as presiding member of the German Association of Brewers and Maltsters (DBMB), Dortmund and a member of the Technical and Scientific Commission (TWA) of the VLB in Berlin.
